Huntington, W.Va. - Freshman Eric Frohnapfel (Morgantown, W.Va.) was named the Conference USA freshman of the year following this past weekend's conference championships hosted by UTEP.

Frohnapfel finished the men's 8k race in 28th place and was the team's top finisher in the Sean Earl Loyola Lakefront Classic back in September.

Senior Travis Epling (Point Pleasant, W.Va.) was the other Marshall men's cross country runner to earn postseason honors by being named to the C-USA third team all-conference.

Epling finished out his career with Marshall by leading the men's team in four meets this year with a personal best finish coming at the Furman Invitational placing 11th.
