Marshall Women's Golf Travels To Lady Eagle Invite

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Marshall University women's golf team will be back in action at the Lady Eagle Invite, hosted by the University of Southern Mississippi. On Monday, the Thundering Herd will open up at 7:15 a.m. with 18 holes before playing the second and final round on Tuesday beginning at 7:30 a.m. All rounds will be played at Canebrake Country Club. A total of ten schools are scheduled to participate including Southern Miss, UT Pan Am, Kentucky Wesleyan, Middle Tennessee State, Jackson State, West Florida, Louisiana-Monroe and Birmingham Southern. The Thundering Herd is coming off of a sixth place finish at the Cincinnati Spring Invitational last weekend following its triumph in the First Market Bank Intercollegiate on March 23. Sophomore Larie Lynch once again led the way for the Herd last weekend. In the opening round, Lynch shot a tournament-low 70 before finishing with a three-round total of 226, tying her for sixth place. Andrea Grier was second on the team, tying for 23rd with a 238 while Kristina Garrett and Molly Ginger tied for 31st with a 241.
Following the Lady Eagle Invite, the Herd will wrap up the season at the Conference USA Championship. UTEP will be hosting the championship, which will take place from April 14-16.
